It's no surprise that the internet has changed the Real Estate business. However, smaller offices appear to be finding it difficult to keep up with the larger companies such as RE/MAX, Century21 and Coldwell Banker.
So how exactly does a small real estate office compete with these giants with enormous advertising dollars?
Make it personal.
Home buyers and sellers want an agent, not a web site. Entertain your visitors with the thought of a personable, likable real estate agent personally guidiing them through the sale or purchase of a home.
Make it usable.
Don't weigh down your visitors with unnecessary things. A bloated web site is a slow and unusable web site. Always try keep your visitor in mind and not what you or your agents would think is a great feature. The visitor always comes first.
Keep things simple.
The easier it is to find what you're looking for, the more frequent you'll revisit. Getting a click through to your home page doesn't mean a thing until the visitor makes the next step to get started talking about that real estate deal. Simple design increases that second click towards your services.
